The study is a small fragment of my Ph.D thesis on Regulation of Capital Market and Investors Protection in India. Despite the rapid growth of the capital market in the country, a number of abuses existed such as insider trading, price rigging, vague and misleading prospectus of companies, unjustified premium on issue of shares, delay in issuing refund orders and default in payment of FDRs by NBFCs. All these evils are hurdles in the path of the economic development. Considering all the factors, it is essential to take up the study of the protection and problems of investors for the present study.
