A touch, a tear a tempest...is more or less a synonym, a metaphor for the process of poetry. It all begins with a touch, after all. A touch in the heart, soft and bittersweet, that gives rise to a mist of thoughts and feelings...and eventually, culminates in a storm of words. This book, with its diverse collection of poetry, though mostly personal...aims at honoring the finer things in life, the emotional attachments, the deep-rooted memories, as well as our hopes, fears and fantasies. It also speaks of the intense and the tender side of love. From romantic love, to love of family, tears of betrayal to tears of beauty...this book raises a toast to all the elements of life.
The author is graduate from the University of Mumbai. She enjoys writing with a cup of green tea in her hand and heart on her sleeve. For her, poetry is an extremely primordial, mystical experience, a doorway to a world where everything has form, color, meaning and magic. She is constantly living on the tippy toes of ideas and inspiration, and loves the thrill of never knowing where her thoughts are going to take her, or what her next poem is going to be.
